My name is Jeff Jiron, I am a small business owner / ice hockey coach and I have been playing ice hockey for 29 years. Seven of those years have been playing for the Ice Raiders since the inaugural year. In those 7 years we have won two back to back MWHL championships.
I grew up playing ice hockey throughout Northern California from A level to AAA on teams including Oakland Bears, Tri Valley Blue Devils, Santa Rosa Flyers, Vacaville Vipers, California North Stars and La Jolla Jaguars. I went on to play 4 years of ACHA division 2 college hockey for the Utah Valley University Wolverines before playing senior A for the Utah County Blizzard, Salt Lake Dawgs and then on to the Ice Raiders. Total years playing Senior A 10 years.
I have been coaching youth and adult hockey for about the last 5 years, as an assistant coach for the Vacaville Jets 18u team and 10u team, coaching the youth in house program creating practice plans and working on fundamental skills and doing the same for the adult beginner clinic. I have also been a coach for 3 years in Vacaville over the summer with the Golden State Eagles Player Development Program, and 2 years with the GSE tryout camps.
